Cesar Salinas is a Chicago native and retired Navy guy, who has traveled and lived all over the world. He currently lives near the waterfalls of Lookout Mountain and is a proud husband, dad, and granddad. Creating mostly in oil and acrylic on canvas, Cesar has a robust inventory of breathtaking, intricate landscapes and other pieces, including some with whimsical surprises. Experiencing his art feels like being transported into a special place or time and is often described to evoke moments where your heart swells with emotion, or longs for quiet nature, or giggles with joy.

He has led a creative life through sketching, tattooing, playing piano, and painting with inspiration from a mix of things— beauty of nature, unpredictability of the sea, career as a sailor, long time love of cars, motorcycles, and music, plus the nostalgia of vintage pinup, tattoo, Japanese, and Mexican art.

Key pieces of Cesar’s work are available at Boom Town Makers Market in historic Ft. Payne, Alabama.
